Hello DIRECTV Technical Help Forums Members!
As you may have noticed, we have upgraded the DIRECTV Technical Help Forums to provide an improved user experience and even more benefit for DIRECTV customers. Here are explanations about some of the exciting new features:


Rich Text Editor – The new Rich Text Editor allows for rich formatting of text content, including common structural treatments like bulleted and numbered lists, formatting treatments like bold and italic text, and emoticons. When you enter any forum and click the Create New Post button, you will see the rich text editing options immediately below the Details box.


Attach from my computer – The Attach from my computer link allows you to attach JPEG, GIF, and PNG files to forum posts. This will be particularly helpful when a screenshot/image may be useful in clarifying and/or explaining a member issue. Please note that the only file types that may be attached are graphics files: JPEGs, GIFs, and PNGs.


Favorites – When browsing DIRECTV Technical Help Forums content, you will notice a Make this a favorite link in the Options section. When you click this link, the content will be added to your Favorites , which are accessible through the DIRECTV Technical Help Forums home page. To access your Favorites , simply click My Favorites towards the bottom of the page.


Enhanced Search – After entering your search criteria and clicking the Search Help Forums button, you now have the opportunity to narrow your search results to posts in a particular forum. On the right side of the Search Results page, you will notice a Narrow your search box. Click on a particular forum under the Post section, and your search results will narrow to include posts from that forum only.
