- Profile: When I retired from working with computers in June, 2000, I decided to put my physical energy into HDTV, woodworking, and service. The first two were expansions of leisure activities and the last an opportunity to do more rewarding work. Being able to serve others with the same interests through Internet forums is a perfect fit.

- DIRECTV owned: 3 HD DVRs (HR20/HR21), H21 HD Receiver, and older HR10-250, R10 and Sony SAT-T60 DirecTivos, along with several older DIRECTV Receivers (DIRECTV D11, Sony SAT-A4).
- Profile: Greetings! My name is Jim and I've been a DIRECTV subscriber since 1999. My equipment includes 3 HD DVRs (HR20/HR21), H21 HD Receiver, and older HR10-250, R10 and Sony SAT-T60 DirecTivos, along with several older DIRECTV Receivers (DIRECTV D11, Sony SAT-A4). Main satellite dish is a 5-LNB AU9 SlimLine feeding a SWM8 and Zinwell WB68 multiswitch. I also have two attic-mounted UHF/VHF antennas for over-the-air HDTV reception with my HR20, HR21+AM21 and HR10-250 DVRs. All of the DIRECTV DVRs are networked for DIRECTV on Demand using a mix of wired ethernet, WLAN and Powerline Network Adapters. When I'm not watching my DVRs you can usually find me with the family -- swimming, running with the dog, gardening, or volunteering with our local United Way. In order to fund these hobbies I do some real work, too, as a Marketing Engineering Manager with Agilent Technologies signal analysis products.

- Profile: Hi, My Name Edmund Burke. I have been a DIRECTV subscriber for over ten years.I wouldn't trade DIRECTV or the DVRs for anything else out there.: ) I have a thing for remote controls. I own over 200 of them, mostly universals. And I like helping people, so helping people with their remotes kills two birds with one stone. Have worked in the retail sector most of my life, selling almost everything. I am single, now share a home with my father.
I hope to be of some help on these forums.

- Profile: I am retired, both from the US Army (where I worked with the Nike Hercules and Patriot missile systems), and from technically related civilian careers in aerospace and telecommunications. I have been a DIRECTV customer for over ten years. My hobbies and interests beyond DIRECTV include motorcycle touring with my wife on our Goldwing. We have visited all 48 of the lower continental United States and most of the Canadian Provinces on the bike, and look forward to further travels. I also hold an extra class amateur radio license, and am active in some local amateur activities. I have owned one or more personal computers continuously since I bought my first one in 1977 when they first appeared, and am reasonably computer proficient. I have also been an active volunteer member of a local Search and Rescue organization for the past 18 years, participating in both urban and rural/wilderness searches for subjects ranging from lost hikers to wandering dementia subjects and missing children.

- Profile: I've been a DirecTV customer (originally through Pegasus) since 1995. As my user name would imply, I am British and living in Texas, near Dallas. I am a Marketing/Sales consultant working mainly with software companies, but have a background in electronic engineering and in development of software for computers embedded in military and telecommunications systems. Interests include football (real football, soccer to most of you!!), hockey, photography and gardening - creating an English-style garden using Texas plants!

- Profile: My name is Mike, and I've been a DIRECTV subscriber since 2003. I am a CPA by trade (University of Connecticut), but migrated into becoming a Software Consultant about 4-5 years ago. I manage and report from databases using Access and Crystal Reports mainly for the Construction and Real Estate industry. I live in Cary, NC with my wife and two young daughters that take up most of my free time! I'm a NY Jets football fan, so my obsession with DIRECTV started because of the need for NFL Sunday Ticket. In the fall, my wife and I enjoy tailgating with friends at North Carolina State football games (Her alma mater) here in Raleigh. I've self-taught myself all I know about DIRECTV and DBS television after a long and painful HD upgrade process in the Summer of 2008, and I am still learning everyday.

- Profile: My name is Darrell and I live in Toms River, NJ with my wife and stepson and I’m retired from the construction industry. I’ve been a DirecTV subscriber since 2001 and active in the forums since 2007. I spent a number of years pursuing blue water fish on the Gulf but now my major pastimes are helping to manage our small condo association and spending time on the Forums. I really enjoy my HR20 that is connected to a nice sound system and utilize all of the available networking features on a regular basis. I’ve had no technical training in electronics but have gained whatever knowledge I have by doing. I’ve owned computers since the days of DOS 3.0 and have had experience with marine electronics. I hope to offer practical suggestions and solutions to other users so that they might enjoy their system as much as I do mine.
