loss of signal (771) - only HD signal lost

This is my loss of signal problem.  It always proceeds in pretty much the same way and has occured 4 or 5 times since I moved into my home 3 years ago.  I have called customer service each time and they send out someone to fix it, until the next time it happens and I have to call again.

1 - only HD channels are lost - all SD are fine (or at least all the ones I have ever looked at)
2 - when it begins, it only happens at night, signal is lost sometime after midnight and is still gone the next morning, by the time I get home from work, the channels are back
however, after the first few days, the signal stays gone all the time - it no longer comes back during the day
3 - with regards to channels, these are the channels I notice it on (I don't watch all the channels so I don't know all the ones that signal is lost on first), this loss pattern happens over the course of a couple of days.  
COMHD goes first, then USAHD, SyFyHD, then TNTHD and FXHD, then BBCAHD, and then eventually my local                   HDs go as well (so for the first few days I have BBCAHD and my locals but yesterday I lost them all)
the ones I never lose are ESPNHD, HBOHD , MAXwHD, and HDNM (I'm sure there are others, I haven't tested them all)


I guess I just wanted to know what was causing it so I don't have to keep calling.  Directv has put me in case management twice when I called, unfortunately both times were for a different issue (which is told them) but with the same symptom (loss of signal).  The first time I was in case management was when I had no signal because my dish was pretty much destroyed by a piece of landscaping equipment and the whole dish had to be replaced.  The second time I was in case management was a little less obvious but I explained to them that the issue was different because I lost HD and SD networks (and ESPN HD - which I never lose).  That time, my thought was that it was moisture in the cabling because by the time the service tech got to my house, it was cleared up.

One of the technicians I had out to fix the problem might have had the right idea when he told me what he thought.  My dish is mounted on a wooden beam that holds up my wooden deck.  It probably isn't the dish moving, it's the beam.  If I look at the bottom of the beam where it is attached to the concrete patio below the deck, it appears as though it has moved - it isn't straight anymore.  And I think it may be affected by weather (hot and cold, wet and dry).  Where I live in VA, we have had a week where it has been unseasonable warm (80 - 90s).  But if this is the problem, then I guess the only way to fix it is to have the dish installed somewhere else.

Could it be something other than an alignment issue?  I would just like some as much information as possible before I call technical support.

    Your signal strengths are very poor, this looks like an alignment issue to me. To give you an idea what you should be seeing - 101 should have most transponders at or near 100, 99c/103ca/103cb should have all transponders in the high 80s to mid 90s.

    The dish needs to be firmly mounted and a wooden beam won't do that. If you don't want the dish mounted on the house, it needs to be on a pole mount.
