Why does direct tv think it is ok to charge a $25 fee for "advanced receiver'' without my authorization?

The $25 Advanced Receiver fee, covers HD, DVR, and Whole Home DVR services. If you have at least one HDDVR (Genie counts) it is a required service as should have been disclosed not only when you placed the order, but your order confirmation would show it as well so you would be informed before the equipment is received and activated. The only way not to pay for any receiver services is to have SD non DVR for your equipment. You still pay $7 (current cost) for each authorized tv beyond the first no matter what kind of box it is.

When you signed the work order you agreed to the terms and conditions of the contract which includes the $25 advanced receiver $7.00 a month additional TV fee.
