Customer Relations

Customer Relations                                                                                                                                 I was very surprised when I called in to ask about obtaining an additional remote control. My wait time was the length of the time it took me to eat my lunch. We have been with Direct T.V. for many, many years before my husband had his stroke and have been contacted frequently by other companies to change to their plan, and we stayed with Direct T.V. because it met out needs as our income is meager. I thought perhaps that we could get another remote at little cost as my husband has lost motor skills in his hands and it's been dropped so many time we discarded it and are down to one remote which is a real hassle for me. Customers just are not important to businesses as they used to be I guess. Mainly my pet peeve is the waiting endlessly to speak to someone when they are called.      ***

Remotes are replaced for free if you have DirecTV's Equipment Protection Plan.  Otherwise they're cheaper from places like Amazon.

So the options are pay a monthly fee (protection plan) or go to a 3rd party?

If your 2 years are up, maybe Dish will be an option.  Talk to retention and mention that.  Maybe a 3rd option will then magically appear. Man Wink

I can't even get through to Customer Relations. DirectTv sure doesn't want anyone speaking to them.

Re: Customer Relations

Where are they? I have been with DirectTv since they were USSB. I can't even speak to someone in CR. The dogs in CS won't transfer me, I got thrown into the never ending loop.

Dish is looking better and better all the time.

Customer relations? Maybe there is a different department name? What is it you are under the impression this department handles or can do for you? Maybe the actual department actually has another name.

FWIW, DirecTV never "was" USSB.  DIRECTV bought USSB, its competitor.

A Representative Of Directv told me to talk with someone in that Department instead of CS who cannot help me understand why Directv doesn’t give two hoots about long term customers. I’m thinking none of you do.

We are customers trying to help other customers, we are not DirecTV.  And I think no-one here understands who this "customer relations" group is you are trying to find, and why.

Well there you go.  Good thing that nobody has similar issues with Dish Network 🙂

You can try chat and the only people you need to replace a remote are at this number.

Thank you for dropping OAN. As a country its important to have both (Edited per community guidelines) and (Edited per community guidelines) views presented because one side is NEVER correct all the time, and I'm saying that as a very, very (Edited per community guidelines) person. However, airing content that twists the facts or ignores the facts all together, such as OAN does isn't healthy for political discourse. When my contract is up with my current provider, I'll be switching to DirectTV!
