Property Damage Claims

Helpful information for Property Claims with AT&T

Accidents happen, and we apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing. Whether you need to track a claim filed by an AT&T representative or file a new claim, we’ve got you covered.

Claim Information

AT&T claims are handled through Sedgwick, our claims administrator. Claims are filed by:

  • AT&T employees – If an AT&T employee comes across a situation that they believe needs addressing, they file a claim directly and provide you with a claim number for follow-up.
  • Property owner/customer – Property owners can file claims directly through the Claim center.

Note: If human life, health, or safety is threatened by damage to electrical, water, or sewer lines, to help mitigate your damages call your local electrical company or a local plumber to help you with the immediate problem.

Once a claim has been filed, Sedgwick will provide a claims administrator who will contact you, document the damages, and visit the damaged site to complete an assessment. Once the assessment is complete, they will provide you with the final assessment and information.

Note: The Claims Center and Sedgwick do not handle claims for lawn claims and repair, but they can provide you with correct information for reporting issues.

File a new claim

If you need to file a new claim, have the following information available:

  • Location – The physical address or GPS coordinates for the location where damage occurred.
  • Photos – Include close-ups and wide views of the area damaged. If possible, include photos of the person, vehicle, or equipment that caused the damage. Photos can be from cameras, cell phones, or other devices.

Once you have the information together, contact us at 800-288-2020. A representative will:

  • Document your information
  • Assign you a claim number
  • Forward the claim to our claims administrator

Once the administrator receives the information, they will assign it to a claims examiner. The examiner will generally contact you within 3-5 business days to discuss the report and get additional information.

The claims examiner will:

  • ask you questions about the damage
  • provide you with a location to send your photos
  • request you get an estimate for site repairs
  • come to your property to complete the claims process.

Track an existing claim

If an AT&T representative has given you a claim number and you haven’t heard anything in 24 hours, or you’ve already filed a claim and want to follow up,

  • Call 855-365-4976
  • Visit www.mysedgwick.com. If you have not registered for the site yet, choose register as a new user and follow the steps.

Directv technician installed dish on the roof of my house. Holes which he drilled were not covered at all. So when it rains the water seeps in through the holes and now I have roof water damage and a bedroom ceiling below it has water damage as well.
where and how do I file a claim?

So I called - i was given a clam number. I am not to do any repairs - I have to wait 5 days or so for a letter to arrive. Fill the information out, mail it back - wait some more.

Meanwhile the water damage will continue - so the price of the claim will continue to rise.

Mailed damage claim via certified mail to address given in email from Directv on 1-25-2017. DIRECTV; Attn:  Damage Claims; PO Box 4227; Englewood, Co 80155-4227.  Returned after 2 attempts by USPS to deliver, "Return to Sender - Moved, Left no Address."  Talked with 3 individuals at (800-251-5000) and 1 person at (800)894-0374; none were able to give me the correct address.

Beware of ordering your DIRECTV service through a retailer.

If your ordered your service through sams club you will not find any solution to getting your house

fixed I am an att employee and my parents went through sams club to purchase there Directv and att and the contractor that came out damaged there roof by moving the satellite then filling in the holes with caulk and not telling my father I came down the next weekend to verify that everything was done right and found this. This was in July we are now in October and still are getting pushed to different claims departments and I work for att so I know that just a consumer wouldn't be able to get this far. So if you have a claim and you got your service through sams club the company is Smart Circle Internationl and there number is 1-866-569-2420. If your ordered service

through a Riffe then retailer you need to call 1-888-333-0738. They will be able to find out to whom you need to file a claim with. I apologize for the way everyone is getting pushed off to someone else and your claim never gets handeled correctly. Hope this helps anyone that is in need of getting there home repaired after a contractor messed up your house. The only way to get a real att employee to install your services is to go through an att store not an authorized retailer.

This is regarding  a property damage which has been done a long time ago and yet no one has made any effort to solve it. especially the claims department. The claim # is 1712000293. I am left with no option but to address it here. I changed my internet service to attnt around the time of black Friday in 2017. When the Atnt technician came to install the internet device they had to drill through the wall. They did not carefully drilled and end up drilling through the in wiring HDI cable (inside the wall) damaging it due to which I could not connect my direct tv or apple tv to my Television. I contacted the sales representative but they kept sending technicians to fix this problem. All the technicians send this is not something they can fix and that claims department needs to help fix this problem. (every technicians ). What upset me time after time was how confidently the sales representative said that technicians are trained to solve this type of problem and it will be resulted. As for the claims department it has been extremely hard to get in touch with them and so much time has passed. They gave me the number of the person who I had to contact to solve my problem but every time I contact him the call goes to voicemail and I never hear from him again. His number is 469-213-4370 by the name of Fabion Hernandez( i apologize if I wrote it wrong) . I have contact the claims department and the atnt more than 20 times to explain this and they were helpless. They just give me another number or transfer me to someone else whom i have to tell my problem again. I am tired of having this damage fixed. it has been so long and Atnt customer service is just horrible. They don't care if the property of the customer gets damage and I gave multiple chances before writing this, but all the time they proved incompetent and helpless. I need this problem to be fixed as it has caused great trouble for me. I am extremely looking forward to hearing from atnt or claims

Highly unlikely that you'll get any resolution here.  This is a customer-to-customer technical support forum with minimal AT&T/DirecTV involvement. Good luck.

If the HDMI cable is longer then 6 Ft. then DTV doesn't carry them. Shouldn't be that hard to replace.

Hi,  Thanks for your reply.  The dish antenna was installed on an outside wall that has my master bath on the other side.  It appears one of the bolts they used to secure the antenna was really long and it came out on the other side through my tiled wall.  2 tiles are broken due to this bolt which is still sticking out.   I filed a claim 3 weeks back but has not heard anything yet.   Hope I clarified your question.   I have multiple photos taken that I can upload for your reference if you need them for a visual reference.

Thanks !

Despite the fact the images would only be for visual, what was the reasoning for not having the dish installed on the roof like everyone else. Ok so again try calling 855.462.6537 and when prompted you should be able to input your claim number. You want to track the progress of your claim.

I remember technician recommending the spot due to the direction and get away from a big tree.  All I need now is if they can remove the bolt that is sticking inside, I can fix the tile myself.  When I called regarding this, they asked me to file a claim and asked me not to fix anything until they send an adjuster
