Why can't I combine my billing?

When I signed up 3 mo ago. I was told I was signing up for combined (internet and directv) billing. I have called 3 times. This last time, the rep said it’s not possible. Now what?

Hi, @TiffyC.

If you are trying to combine your DIRECTV bill with a 3rd party internet provider, then there are some requirements that must be met in order for that bill to be combined.

First, internet will have to be available at your address with one of the following providers:

- CenturyLink
- Cincinnati Bell
- Consolidated Communications
- Frontier
- HughesNet
- Mediacom
- ViaSat
- Windstream

If one of those preferred providers is available to your address, then the next requirement to combine the bill is that AT&T internet is not available at your address.

Please note that if you already have an existing account with one of those internet providers, then you would not be eligible to combine the bill. Our systems require that you sign up for the internet through one of our representatives, if it is an option for you, in order for the billing to be combined.

Thanks for your reply. I had already tried to combine online. I tried calling again because I wasn’t having success and the rep said I couldn’t. I was told it would be combined when I set up my acct. I’ve contacted at&t and the internet provider.
What is my next step?

I was a customer of centurytel w dish. The directv rep who signed me up said he contacted them about a new router and that I would just have to remind them after directv was installed to combine the bills. I did, was told it might take a couple of billing cycles and then this last time I called was told it's not possible

CenturyTel does not have a joint bill agreement with DirecTV. The salesperson who told you otherwise was either saying anything to make the sale or confused it with CenturyLink which does have an agreement with DirecTV.

He definitely told me it could be bundled or I would have switched to a company that would bundle. He even quoted me a bundled price. Where do I go from here? The rep definitely lied.

Hi There! @TiffyC

Now according to the information that we have Centurytel looks like to be a reseller of services for CenturyLink CenturyLink is the company that you can talk to. Please contact CenturyLink at: 877-837-5738. They should be able to point you in the right direction on how to bundle your internet and DirecTV together.

If there is anything else that you need, please reach out to us again.
