I thought I was the only one. I have the same issue, can watch games everywhere but Apple TV with Direct TV. I called NBA help, Apple support and Direct TV they all had me going to the other company. It’s very frustrating, I wish their was a fix somehow.

hey everyone, i'd put in a support ticket with the NBA back when i first reported my troubles, and they'd check in every so often to say they were still working on it. this morning, they finally said they made some changes to the app, so that i should delete the app, power down the apple tv for a minute, then reinstall it, and see if it works. and it FINALLY DOES WORK. i reinstalled, logged in with my tv provider, and now i can watch archive games from this season on demand.

i guess better half-way through the season than never.

Confirmed!  I also had an open ticket and received an email from NBA support today saying they corrected the problem on their end. I have confirmed it does now finally work after power cycling my Apple TV.
