ads are scrolling across the bottom of our tv since getting our new reciever 2 weeks ago.

Since getting the new receiver  for direct tv a couple weeks ago, ads appear every so often and scroll across the bottom of the tv. Out TV is a samsung tv model PN50C550G1FXZA . How do I get them to stop?

INFO button on which remote?  Your DirecTV remote or TV's remote?

I'm not aware of a "Store Demo" mode on any DirecTV equipment.  

 

If it's your DirecTV remote, please post back what DVR/Receiver model you have and where you got it.

Those ads are most likely coming from your TV, not your DirecTV box.  Check the owner's manual for your TV to see how to disable that.

No, still have them.

The TV Remote-I think I’ve solved the problem. I went to this site and it walked me through how to take the store demo setting turned off. After 40 minutes, still no ads popping up. It usually came up every half hour.
