Auria TV Losing Zoom Setting Upon Power Up

After my new DirecTV install, my Auria TV Model EQ 4288 is losing its screen ratio (zoom) setup.  I have it in WIDE, and upon power off and back on again, it reverts to NORMAL, which is a standard 4:3 aspect ratio.  Another problem that occurred since this install is also upon power on.  When it comes up (the DirecTV client box is connected to HDMI1), it displays NO SIGNAL When I check, it is still set for HDMI1.  I have to power the DirecTV box off and on again.  On a parallel issue, DirecTV replaced Comcast Xfinity.  When Comcast upgraded me to Xfinity a couple of years ago, the TV volume control resets to zero upon power on, which it is still doing now.

Could this possibly have anything to do with older HDMI technology?  I believe this set is early 200x, if not late 199x.  We got it as a refurb around 2003.  As if this isn't enough problems, the volume and on/off functions will not pair up with the DirecTV remote.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Donna, thank you for your response.  I have been doing some more digging and actually got it fixed as of late last night!

I came across some blogs where similar problems were stated not only on Auria, but on other makes of TV's.  One mentioned for the zoom problem to do a factory reset on the TV in the settings part of the menu.  I did this and VOILA! it fixed the zoom and the volume going to zero.  Another suggestion I came across about Auria not pairing with DIRECTV was to enter LG as the TV brand, since it was stated that LG is the manufacturer of Auria.  I did this and it presented me with 76 models to choose from.  I entered, "I don't know", and let it start scanning.  It stopped on the first one and said to try it.  VOILA again!  It worked!  Now the DIRECTV remote will control the volume and on/off functions of the TV.

Thanks again for responding.  This case is closed!

P.S.  The factory reset also fixed the HDMI1 problem.
