Can’t manage DVR away from home with Directv, like with Uverse.

I always managed Uverse DVR recordings away from home. I’ve just discovered I can’t with Directv, and now I’m away from home and screwed.  This is bull pucky, selling us on a product with fewer features. Grrrr.  And the new menu guide format s*cks. Did you not dry run it first? Awful for those with vision issues. Sorry, I am usually not a ranter , but I’m so upset!

Why would you give less features

That link is wrong.  Just log into your DirecTV account at www.directv.com and follow the previously posted instructions to remotely schedule a recording to your DVR.

Good Morning @Conbas,

Welcome to the Community Forums!  I am sorry you are not able to manage your settings for DIRECTV from home.  I understand this is a very convenient feature and you enjoyed having access to this.

After doing some research, I found instructions for schedule a recording.  Go to http://soc.att.com/2JCdY76>Sign into your account>Click on Watch DIRECTV>Use the program guide or search function to find the show you wish to record>click record>once you do this, DIRECTV will send an e-mail confirmation of the request.

I hope this helps.  Have a great day!.

Thank you for the reply! What I really needed was the ability to DELETE recorded programs while away from home. Any help there? Thanks again.
