Currently have an HR24-100 DVR and would like to upgrade to current technology.

Been a Directv customer since 2008 with essentially the same original equipment and I would like to upgrade please.

All sats are received on the SWM Sat1, Sat2 is not used.  101 is the SD channels that is on a wider beam 99/103 are the HD channels and are on a narrower beam.

Merlin - Everything is on sat1. Your low numbers on ca/cb just show your dish is not aligned correctly

@merlin88merlin it says SAT in 2 because satellite in 1 is likely being used for recording or something similar. Therefore, the receiver must switch to tuner 2, and as your dish isn't aimed, you will have a signal loss on tuner 2 as well. Let us know what the DIRECTV technicians are able to do when they come out.

nope - not being used for anything.  switched from 501 to StarzFamily channel, and got the message.   have DirecTv coming Thurs.  I have the protection plan and have not used it in over 10 yrs after lightning strike by house.   they are due to take care of us.

I have a vague memory that some earlier HR24s had sat 1 and sat 2 reversed.

we'll see what they say on Thurs.  i have a hr23-700.  TBSHD 247 works fine.   TBSWHD has the issue.   says Sat 2 error 771.   SHOFam 542 says Sat 2 error 771.   as mentioned earlier, my low #s on 99(ca/cb) etc, means out of alignment.

thx

@TexasBrit  ok    this is strange.  the signal numbers haven't changed, but now those 2 channels are coming in with no errors.

I have an HR22-100 in living room.  No problems with it - it's sometimes slow to respond to remote,  but I've had it since 2008ish.   However,  I still have 2 "D12-700"s in my den and spare bedroom.  They stopped working and you told me a LONG time ago that would happen.   I'd like to replace at least 1 of them with a new HD unit.   What are my options ?   Can I still get an HR-22 for the den to replace the non-HI-Def D12-700 ?   Or can I only move the HR22 from living room into den,  replace the HR22 with a Genie,  and what do I do with 2 non-working or supported  D12-700s ?  Send them back ?     I'd like at least a hi def box in the den.  I don't  have to have recording capabilities on it,  just want to watch my Raider games on Sunday Ticket now and then while wife watches stuff on Sundays.    The 3rd D12 I might just eliminate from our life.

If they still have any they will swap the D12s with HR24s or you can try a free swap to an HR54 Genie,  they will most likely push you to the HS17 Genie2 client only system so you lose all HR/D receivers.  You take the D12s to an e-waste recycling center.

@drjimmy64

if they offer HR 54 or HR44, look at the back of the box - connections are different.

merlin - your signals on those channels must be marginal so the 771 will come and go. What are the signals on the three transponders I gave you?
