Directv - not working

It has not worked for 3 weeks - I had 5 techs stop by and several people tried to help me over the phone.  I am upgrading to the genie 2 with wireless clients.  No one can get them to work.  Several techs have said i need the C61 wireless client.  But none of the techs have any on their trucks.  How can I get this issue resolved?

What exactly is "not working"? Please provide specifics (symptoms, error messages, etc.).

There are two models of wireless Clients (C41W and C61W). You don't need one over the other. Without the 'W' it is not wireless.

Careful as an "upgrade" might not be capability-wise. The Genie-2 forbids regular receivers. That means a hard cap on tuners, recording space, not having separate lists and settings between TVs. And if it has a problem, then all TVs have an issue as they cannot work without the main box.

If you haven't finished the "upgrade", what are the models of each box you have now?

they are using c41w and I have asked for the c62w.  the genie 2 and the client both have green lights and are making an attampt to connect.  But it goes back to inactive and nothing happens.  No error code.

there is no c62w. The 4k client is a C61K, and it is not wireless.

DirecTV never guarantees a specific model out of a compatible line. Order wireless and you could get C41W or C61W, cannot choose between them. Order Genie and you get HR44 or HR54 (not HR34 as out of stock). Order Genie-2 and you do get HS17 as that is the only model number, though no guarantee if you have eSATA port or not (only 1st run off the line had the port, they removed it after without marking it as R1 for revised model).
