Only the TVs are needed, all cables are included to connect the receivers to the TVs.

in a new subdivision.  Homes are already hard wired for cable by builder (bundle of ethernet cords bundled together in utility panel)...do we still need "boxes" for each TV??

For DTV satellite service you will need a dish and DTV receivers on each TV.  For DTV Now all you need is the app on each TV.

If you're asking about UVerse Cable TV services, you should post in the UVerse Forum. This is the DirecTV Satellite forum.
