does anyone have a comple manual for installation of multiple gemini minis for use with direct tv satelite service?
the receivers I received from direct tv get stuck on a screen that asks fir streaming id and password. I'm told there should be a screen that asks user to choose between streaming or satellite service. I have yet to able to get to that screen on 6 receivers.

The Gemini products are fairly new, and many of us ACEs have not got our hands on one yet.
There are videos all over the DIRECTV site showing installation videos and whatnot. Also, I believe that the Gemini receivers come with a handy booklet.

The booklet is useless, at least for me. I had 2 technicians at my house for 2 1/2 hours, they couldn't install them. I don't want to give up, but I'm tired of the run around from Direct TV.

They went away from full paper manuals years ago (save costs and better for environment). At best they have their support page, which probably will be updated as more info comes out: All about your Gemini device
And for your proctection against scams, just remember it is DirecTV, not Direct TV. Some sketchy sites/people use minor misspellings like that to catch people.

I got my Geminis today . Same problem..asking for stream user and password...tech coming tomorrow..hope he can help

There have been a few other posts where DirecTV shipped the Gemini with the wrong firmware, using the DirecTV Stream firmware instead of DirecTV Satellite Genie software.

Same for me. Tried 3 receivers so far and get to the streaming Iogin screen with all of them. Spent several hours on the phone with support, now they are sending a tech out.

Unless techs have a new option to reload firmware on-site, seems a waste of time and money. Would need to ship out replacement boxes with the correct firmware on them for DirecTV (satellite) instead of DIRECTV STREAM (streaming-only requiring that login).

they told me yesterday that the tech will have the correct Geminis.....i'll find out in a few hours when he arrives and let you know!

UPDATE - techs do NOT carry Gemini boxes yet.. no work around to get past Stream login screen... tech is gone, i will be getting replacement boxes today, hope they work

UPDATE - 5 Geminis sent so far, only ONE worked without getting stuck on Stream login screen. FINALLY got it activated with the help of a supervisors on the dedicated line.... two more on the way (I have three TVs), fingers crossed they do NOT get stuck on Stream... i have a lot of Geminis to return!
