As you asked, to clarify before another thread shuts down for being repetative.
Both the Mini Genie and Gemini function as clients as the main Genie.
The benefit of the Gemini is it supports streaming apps as well so you don't have to change inputs to another device (such Roku, Firestick, etc.).
Otherwise both of those devices serve the same purpose so you are not gaining anything more over a Mini Genie.
