Harmony Hub and DirectTV HR54

Just recently had to have my hr44 replaced with a HR54. I went into my harmony app to reprogram the remote with no success. I have the hr54 set to IR but I still get nothing.

I have tried readding the DVR in harmony. The remote works to control other devices thru IR blasters. And if I set DVR to RF the original remote works

Any thoughts?

Yes, there's a reset button.  I think on the HR54 it's on the side panel near the access card.

You shouldn't have had to reprogram anything.  The HR44 and HR54 use the same remote codes.  And IR is always active on both of them.  Perhaps that HR54's IR sensor is defective?  Have you tried resetting the HR54 using the red button near the access card?

When the receiver was replaced the harmony remote no longer worked. I have reset/restarted the receiver and that does not fix the problem

That's indeed puzzling because the HR44 and HR54 use the exact same remote commands.  Perhaps that HR54 has a defective Infrared receiver?

My guess is that the remote IR emitters are overloading the HR54 IR detector. There are some IR emitter systems that allow you to run at lower power. I saw some refernces to this problem about two years ago with the HR44.

And yes, the codes for the HR54 and HR44 are the same.
