HD Receiver with no card, Standard definition receiver with a card

I have an HD receiver and no access card.  I have a standard receiver with an access card.

Question 1.  Can I use the standard receiver card in the HD receiver?  And call DirecTV to 'marry' the card to the HD receiver?

If I cannot do question 1.  Can I call DirecTV and request a new card for the HD receiver that doesn't have one?  Is there a way I should word my request so the DirecTV agent understands?

Thanks!!

You have to order a new card from the acces card
department.

You can not use a card from a diffrent reciever
they will send you a new one if that reciever is
eligible to be activated

Thanks for the response.

Please elaborate on "reciever is eligible to be activated".  Why wouldn't a receiver be eligible?

1. No

2. Yes. There is a fee of $20 for a new access card.

You can't just use a receiver that was on someone else's account, it is almost certainly leased and can't be used on another account. You can call DirecTV and ask for the access card group, give then the receiver ID and they will tell you if you can activate it.
