List of brands not loading when programming remote

Gemini remote stopped working with linked tv and soundbar.  Tried to pair again but the brand list will not load for either the TV or speaker sound using either standard or manual. I’ve tried resetting the remote, resetting the receiver, unplugging it, replacing the batteries. Still can’t get the list to load and therefore cannot program the remote.

Hi, @Meme2280. We're sorry you weren't able to program the sound system properly. Here's how you'll be able to select the brand of your speaker system:

1. Press the ‘Home’ button on the remote, arrow right and select the ‘Settings’ (Gear Icon)

2. Select System > Remote & Devices > Program Your Remote > Speaker System > ‘Standard’ or ‘Manual’

3. To search for Speaker brand, enter the speaker brand name

4. Once the speaker brand is identified, the device will run a few tests, and you'll be all set.

As I mentioned this doesn’t work as the brand list will not load. So there’s nothing to select

Tried that multiple times.  Also tried resetting, unplugging, disconnecting and reconnecting and replacing batteries

The Gemini needs an Internet connection to program the remote. Go to the settings menu and get it connected. In a few minutes the brands should appear.

Hah! and some experts maintain the Gemini does not need an internet connection.

Internet wasn’t an issue. If it was, I doubt I would be worried about the remote since there wouldn’t even have been content streaming. Factory Reset of the Gemini Air and the remote took care of it.

The Gemini Air is for use with the DTV via internet AKA DTV streaming service. The Gemini is a mini client used on the DTV sat service to be able to stream some apps to the TV without having to change the TV input.
