Local channels are gone

Question

Help! We had a bad storm the other night and since then my local channels are gone. They don't show up on the guide at all. I have unplugged everything, pressed the reset button on the genie and even logged in online and sent a reset to my receiver. Nothing's working... Any idea how to fix this?

Try repeating the satellite setup. If you have a HD receiver that can be done like this:

Menu > Settings & Help > Settings > Satellite > Repeat Satellite Setup > Select CONTINUE

If you have a SD receiver you'll have to go to this location in the settings:

Menu > Parental, Fav's & Setup > System Setup > Satellite > Repeat Satellite Setup > Select CONTINUE
