Losing Sound
We keep losing sound, but can get it back by briefly reversing. When it begins to play again, the sound is back. This has been happening for about 3 weeks. Is this a software problem with DirecTV?

Try disabling "Dolby Digital" in the HR44's Audio Setup menu.

Is this on all channels? What hardware are you using? What version of software?
You mention "reversing", which I take to mean rewinding, which would indicate you are not talking about a live stream but an on-demand selection?

Software: Oxd8f, Fri 1/19,1:46a
Loss of sound happens on different channels. This is when watching in 'real
time' (regular channel), sometimes has been paused.

same problem as Laurie. Watching program live and sound goes out. I've found if I go back to previous station watched sound there is ok.....I bounce back to program I was watching and its back. This happens 4 or 5 times a day and happens on two different receivers. Both receivers are Genie 2's.

"Receivers" ??? Are you talking about DirecTV Satellite service? This is not that forum.
If you do mean DirecTV Now, the streaming service, then you do have the correct forum.
What hardware are you Using?

sound back. I think it must be a glitch in the software and AT&T/DirecTV
needs to fix it. It's especially annoying when the workarounds don't work.
