Recording freezes 2+ hours into a movie on Genie 2 DVR C61W-400

Every time we record a movie that is 2+ hours long, during playback, at the 2-hour to 2-hour 4-minutes mark, the video freezes for a second and then jumps ahead anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes.  If you rewind and try to play again, it freezes again at the same mark, but the video stays frozen for then entire period of the gap (1 to 2 minutes).  A technician said we could stop that by removing the sleep setting / power saving setting on all of our genies and DVR.  We have done that, but it has not fixed the issue.  Is this a bug in our DVR or is this a known issue?  Our client software version is 0x10d1 and our DVR is a Genie 2 C61W-400, HS17/100 server with software version 0x1112, Thu 10/18, 12:11PM.  We have experienced this since we upgraded nearly a year ago.  It is frustrating.  Do you know how much pertinent parts of the story line you loose during the last few minutes of an action packed 2+ hour movie?  We sure would like to see this fixed.
