Remote control and mini genie

I bought a C61-500 from a third party. Called Directv and had it added to my account. It didn't come with a remote control and none of my existing remotes will work with it. How do I input the 4 digit code to get it active?

All DTV remotes come programmed for all DTV receivers so that are the model numbers of the remote you have?

Hopefully that was an authorized 3rd party retailer. The Mini Genie Clients, just like the main Genies, have never been purchase to own. They remain DirecTV property and are to be returned when deactivated.
