As long as you are past the two year agreeemnt, there should be no charge to cancel. We can’t send you anything as we are customers just like you on a public forum. If you don’t live close to a participating FedEx or UPS location, you can ask for a box and label that gets dropped off at the Post Office. Do so by calling DIRECTV (number in my greeting below). Be sure to keep the shipping receipt so that you are able to dispute the non-return equipment fee (if by accident you are billed for it). Also, verify all the receivers are deactivated and ready to be returned.

You can cancel at anytime but you pay for and receive service until the end of the billing cycle.  What are the model number(s) of the receivers to see if they are returnable or not?

If you service is already canceled, then you take any returnable boxes to a participating FedEx or The UPS Store for your free return. They only use the old process of sending you return boxes if you are too far away from a participating shipper. Keep receipt showing the shipper took possession.

What are the models of each box you have? Perhaps they are not all (if any) returnable anymore.

You can cancel in the middle of a billing period, but you do not get prorated for any unused days. They stopped prorating the final bill in January 2019. Make sure your account is actually canceled before trying to return equipment.

You posted anonymously on a public forum. Nobody knows who you are or the details of your account. So, requesting any action for your account does nothing. You must contact DirecTV for official support.

Service being too expensive is a reason for any company. They are not a requirement of life, but a luxury pay TV service. They must price accordingly for their setup. If it is not within comfortable budget for you, then you reduce service until it is or go elsewhere that would be a better fit for you. It is your responsibility to manage what is affordable for you, not scream at a company for not pricing itself down for you.

When you cancel, as long as that final monthly service was paid in full on-time, then there could still be some final charges to clear the account. An early cancellation fee (ECF) if you had time left on a service agreement, non-return fee (NRF) for any returnable equipment they don't get back within the allotted time, or any unbilled PPVs found on the returned access cards that you hadn't been charged for yet. If none of that, then you would still get a courtesy statement showing last payment received and the account reflects a $0 balance for your records.

(As a personal note, typing in ALL CAPS doesn't change the information you get).
