Upgrade to HD DVR

I currently have 2 D12-100 standard definition receivers connected to non 4K TV's. I also have WiFi that has limited monthly data.

If I change to HD with DVR, will I need to connect to the internet?

Also what equipment will I need for the 2 different tv's, and be able to record different shows?

No, DTV will work without an internet connection you just will not get On Demand, start from the beginning or pay for PPV with the remote make sure the tech knows not to connect to the internet.  You will probably get a Genie and a mini to record up to 5 programs at the same time but when watching live TV the mini uses a tuner reducing the number of recording you can do at the same time plus watching the main TV does the same so if both TVs are on live TV you will have 3 tuner for recording.  DTV should provide the composite cables for the SD TVs or the HDMI cables for HDTVs.
