To program your direct TV genie remote to your ONN tv, choose RCA as the brand and choose idk my model number and it will search, select the 4th code it will work!
ONN TV's are built by Durabrand. It is listed as a remote program choice. There are several codes to choose from. I don't know which code number will specifically work for you. You may have to try a few to see if which one works for you.
@Timewarpone it was Duranbrand that worked for me too. I had tried Element, RCA, and the "Manual find" method, and they all failed. The "find" method got me to the point that I can turn it off, and use the Volume control. But not the "On" feature. Always had to get the ROKU remote for that.
Durabrand works for everything except turning TV on for us. Tried all 10 choices and there’s two that work like that. Is there a choice that will also turn the TV on?

Brilliant solution - just tried it on mine and it worked. I had thought of trying to emulate another brand but it never occurred to me to find out who owned the ONN brand - again, brilliant!

I had the same issue with my new onn tv... But digging in further. I found that inn is owned by Curtis international which is also a rca brand.
It worked at the the 3 or 4th code for the onn 43 in tv that I have ... good luck
