Recording freezes 2+ hours into a movie on Genie 2 DVR C61W-400

Every time we record a movie that is 2+ hours long, during playback, at the 2-hour to 2-hour 4-minutes mark, the video freezes for a second and then jumps ahead anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes.  If you rewind and try to play again, it freezes again at the same mark, but the video stays frozen for then

I live in CA and Verizon had directv as a part of their plan. When we had it with Verizon(about 4 yrs ago), the tech who set up our service was able to rid us of the blue line. Several issues with receiver upgrade process

April 5 I ordered an upgraded receiver and requested 2nd receiver and wire drop for 2nd TV. Installation scheduled for April 7.    April 7: Technician shows as scheduled but has no receiver.  Further states that no one does and that I need to contact ATT to have one delivered.

"Instruction" bar

Since the update last week, there has been a bar across the bottom of the guide screen that says, "Press Select for On Demand Programs" and the next line has more buttons to push for other things.  It actually pops up most anytime other than watching tv.  Any suggestions on getting it off of there?

The channel list for XTRA doesn't match my local channels
