Since getting the new receiver  for direct tv a couple weeks ago, ads appear every so often and scroll across the bottom of the tv. Out TV is a samsung tv model PN50C550G1FXZA . How do I get them to stop?

I live in Canada and have a Direct TV account in Naples Florida. We will not be returning until later this year. Is there any way we can put our account on a vacation hold? Is there a number where we can reach customer service because the 1-800 number does not connect from Canada?

I have tried to watch several movies on Demand. They say they are available for rent @5.99 or Purchase @ 16.99. When I select a movie,  the only option is purchase (bait and switch).
