ads when starting directv app on Roku stick

This seems to have started happening to me about a month ago. Sometimes when I start the directv streaming app on my Roku stick I get about 2 minutes of ads before I can use the directv streaming app. Is this something new with directv steaming? It's annoying to have to sit through these ads before I can watch tv.

What kind of ads? I don't see any unless the channel that loads is in the process of running an ad.

Just normal types of ads. They play about 6 ads. I have to watch all of them before I can change channels on the directv streaming app. It only happens on the roku. I use directv streaming app on iPad, no ads. I contacted roku support and they said ads is from the directv streaming app. I tried contacting directv streaming support but it's so hard to understand the English of the customer service rep.

I have multiple Roku's and I am seeing no ads at start up or between channels.

BTW, I was subscribed to the ATT TV stream app before it merge with directv. Then the app became directv streaming. I will try to take a picture when it happens next.

I have been with the service since conception and have participated in 2 BETA tests of the service. Like any new service there were issues while the service matured. In my opinion it has been very staple for the last 2 years.

Here is a picture of what happens when I startup the directv streaming app on my roku. Sometimes I see a series of ads before I can start watching tv. In this case you can see it's going to play 7 ads. It's really annoying because I have to wait through all the ads before I can watch anything.
