ATT CONVERT TO direct Tv Stream. New App needed

I had high hopes that when Direct took over ATT NOW, that they’d retire that awful ATT NOW app. Any plans for an app that really works? I use an APP,E TV go get Direct Stream.

Works and has always remarkably good for me. Maybe use a true streaming device instead of that expensive Apple product.

Have to agree the app is pretty bad.  Many years it worked fine on FireTV devices and ROKU devices.  Even have a ROKU TV.  Only in the last 4-6 months has the app started having issues with sound skipping every 10 seconds while in any mode except Stereo.  Then, when in stereo mode the volume will intermittently jump to the point where it is all screeching.  Change channels and come back to go back to normal.  No synch issues with sound and other apps have no sound issues.  Have been with this service since it started as DirecTV Now.  Used to be a great deal but now is almost as much as regular DTV service.  Hope they do fix the app for the price they are charging.

Luisa, thanks but I have reinstalled the app, reset the ROKU, bought a new ROKU and tested on two different TVs.  Nothing fixes any of the issues. Have also read many others having similar issues and no resolution has ever been provided. Hoping this shift back to DirecTV will get it looked at.

It affects all channels.  I do not lose audio.  It either skips for a half second every 10 seconds while in anything but Stereo Mode or the volume intermittently increases dramatically if in Stereo mode.  Appreciate the issue being escalated.

I too have had nothing but trouble with the app. Incredibly slow to respond, it resets itself every so often. I’ve tried everything, deleting, reinstalling. Resetting the AppleTV. It happens on all four of our AppleTV units. I’ve given up.

plus, your price has been increasing dramatically for terrible service.
