DTV Stream DVR

my DVR recordings go to a black screen on my Samsung TV. I have to keep restarting my TV and log out to see DVR shows

The app built into the Samsung TV's has had problems since the start.

The best solution is to get a streaming device to connect to the TV.

On the website you can find a list of compatible devices.

@Chicagoray Thank you for bringing that up to our attention. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot your device:

1. Confirm your TV is compatible with the DIRECTV STREAM app
.
2. Close and reopen the DIRECTV STREAM app.
3. Check your TV for software updates.
4. Uninstall and then reinstall the DIRECTV STREAM app.
5. Restart your TV.
6. Make sure your TV is connected to your home network. On your TV, select Settings, and then Network. Choose Network Status. You’ll see images of your TV, router, and internet as they connect in that order. Look for 3 dots between the images to show you’re connected. See an X? You’ve lost your connection.
7. If the issue persists, get additional help at Samsung TV support.
