Pixelation on CBS out-of-home stream on Directv Stream device

Any reason why CBS and NBC (could be others) are pixelating and skipping on audio? It’s for my out of home streams using a Directv stream box. The network connection is great and other channels do not pixelate or skip on audio. We watched our local sport channel ATT SportNet for 4 hours with no issues. Immediately switching over to CBS having issues every minute. One thing I did notice was the speed test run on the device would show 9mbps (which says is good for streaming) meanwhile my phone on the same network laid right on top of the box is getting 350 down…. Confusing…..

Hi @BJackson5, thanks for bringing this out to our attention, we are here to help.

Have you tried to restart your DIRECTV STREAM device? Also, you can try using an Ethernet cable to connect your DIRECTV STREAM device instead of Wi-Fi.

You can also check here for further help with picture or sound issues on your DIRECTV STREAM device.

Small update. The only channel that has been pixelating is CBS (or WSEE being the local channel). I am seeing it on two of my Directv stream devices which I have restarted and plugged directly into my router. No other channel is pixelating (that we have been watching). I also watched CBS (KDKA local) on my fire stick in the same location (since you don’t have location services implemented for the fire stick I get my home local channels when I’m away from home) and it did not pixelate. Is it possibly an issue with the local WSEE broadcast?

CBS channel just states there is a problem with this channel for us. This is happening on all 3 DT Streaming devices. We noticed it yesterday for the first time.  Our zip code is 32563.
