Playing more than 2 TVs
I have 3 TVs in the house. I thought I was supposed to be able to use them all at the same time. But when I turn on
the third TV I get this message - Too Many Streams. There is a limit of 2 simultaneous TV streams allowed outside of
your home location.
I would like to be able to use them all at the same time if needed. We have the box on the main TV but not the other 2.

Hey, litzdog911, thanks for the home location hint. I checked in settings and it was not connected! I connected it and it's working now! Thank you so much! Score one for this senior citizen!!

What boxes are on the other two TVs?
Are all of those devices connected to the same home network?
When did you start your DirecTV Stream service?

Hello @DRDK2 let's work to get to the bottom of this.
To get started, please let us know if all 3 devices are connected to the same network.
Also, is this happening if you try to use a different device like a cellphone, tablet or computer?
In addition, share with us the model of your TVs along with the streaming device.
We'll be waiting for your response.

Samsung TV App?
With a new DirecTV Stream account you should be able to stream up to 20 devices in your home simultaneously. Are all of the devices actually connected to the same home network? WiFi? Ethernet?

The TV connected to the box is a Sony and the other two are Sharps. They are connected to the same network. The only things we had on were the TVs. No
phones or tablets. We were told that we would be able to stream numerous
devices - I don't recall an exact number. But I certainly expected to be able to use
all 3 TVs at one time!

Thanks for the details @DRDK2
Just to confirm - Is your home internet network set up to be used with a dynamic or static IP address?

There is no DirecTV Stream App for Sharp TVs. You must have some other streaming device connected to those Sharp TVs in order to view DirecTV Stream. Perhaps a Roku or Firestick?

I have a grandfathered plan so I may be off here. Have you checked your home location setting? The one you are allowed to change 4 times a year? Should be in settings/preferences. I am surprised that has not been suggested so far.

@johndeve ,
That's why I asked when they signed up. A new account should have 20 in-home streams for devices connected to the same home network. But it's not yet clear what devices they're using.

Says they signed up last month. Why would it matter what devices they are using? Or how they are connected?

If the devices are not connected to the same home network, then some of them will be treated as "out of home". Then the limit is 3 simultaneous streams. It's a new account, so they should have 20 in-home streams. My guess is that this is a network connection issue.

for the community specialist above, why would it matter if the IP address is static or not? I've been complaining about this issue or similar for me in another post. I have a static IP address. I hope that has somehow not been related to my issue. Can't see how it could but no one asked me.

Please explain how a network connection issue would result in a 'too many streams'? If you get that you should be connected to the network.

@johndeve
Because if they're not connected to the SAME network, then they'll be considered out-of-home and limited to 3 streams max (or 2, depending on the exact devices being used).
