Sound Fades Out but Improves When Channel is Switched
Sound occasionally drops out to a garbled sound. We can switch to a different channel and sound comes back correctly. We switch back to the original channel and sound is OK until the next time it drops. This happens about once per day. We had a similar problem with an older Samsung TV until the sound went completely out. Thinking that was the problem, we replaced the TV with a new Samsung.
What we've done so far is reboot the ATT router, replaced all the cables with high quality Monster cables, and cleaned the cable connections with electronic cleaner.
I just don't know if it might be another TV problem (seems possible but not likely), or perhaps it is from the DIRECT TV system. Seems a diagnostic from DIRECT TV is in order. We live in a rural area and may be the last customer on our cable line.
