Stream App

The Stream app doesn't work. I've tried to sign in several times only to get an error message. Does any else have this problem? What's the point of 'watch anywhere on any device' if the app doesn't work??

The app does work. What is your error? What device are you using?

It won't let me sign in with the correct ID and password. The code for the android app is 201.

Do you have a subscription to DirecTV or DirecTV Stream? They are 2 different paid services. You can not use DirecTV credentials to sign-in to DirecTV Stream.

It may help to power cycle your device:


1. From the Android device, press and hold Power.
2. When the Power Off indicator appears, select it.
3. Wait 30 seconds and press Power to turn it back on.
4. Launch the App (DIRECTV STREAM).


Try these additional tips also to help with DIRECTV STREAM sign-in errors.

First of all do you have DIRECTV STREAM or DirecTV (satellite)? If the latter then you need to use the DirecTV app as the services are not interchangeable.

If you do have the matching service and app, what is the error message you are getting? What are you trying to use it on?
