just go to a show, hit select, and tell it to record

I think you meant can’t record without a dvr. @donnich What exactly are you wanting to set up? As noted, if you don’t have a dvr, you can’t record, so what is there to set up?

oops, still on my first cup of coffee this morning

I used to have all the shows setup for the week so I could watch them automatic. Now I have to manually change the channel each time

you mean autotune?

what receiver do you have?

was it changed recently?

Just had 3 new units put in (c61k-700) and 3 (Genie remotes)  and a big triangle unit (hs17-500).

well there ya go, that is a dvr setup, therefore it has no autotune

well that's great No (auto tune)  No (Record capability). All I wanted was to get 4K for my new TV
