Hello @Boatnut,
Thank you for reaching out. We are happy to assist you with viewing C-SPAN. To better assist you, we would need to get a little bit more information. Do you currently have DIRECTV in your home? If so, what package do you currently have? C-SPAN is available with the majority of our packages, but not all. C-SPAN and C-SPAN2 are on channels 350 and 351 respectively in our DIRECTV lineup. If you are not able to view them on these channels, are you getting an error message?
Secondly, it sounds like you might be attempting to stream C-SPAN via the DIRECTV app? Currently, C-SPAN only allows streaming thru their app/website. You will need to click on the sign in button at the top right corner of their website. When the window pops up with the TV providers, select DIRECTV. Then, follow their prompts to complete your registration.
Tip: Sometimes these 3rd party apps will have you use your DIRECTV user name and password to verify service. Other sites will have you use your DIRECTV account number to verify, then have you create a new user name and password. It is helpful to be prepared for either scenario.
