Can not play recordings from genie DvR with Directv app for ipad

When trying to play a recording from my playlist I get a pop up saying I can not play the recording because there is no on demand option. That it is still available on my DVR. My iPad is on the same network as my Directv equipment.I have just reinstalled the Directv app for iPad.any help will be appreciated.

There is a what we believe is a bug in the new combined DTV sat and DTV streaming app, continue to use the old app if you still have it as it has been removed from the Apple store.
