Can't stream on computer

I can not stream DirecTv on my laptop. It keeps saying that we ran into a problem. Refresh the video player. Any answers?

Hello again @joeyfanof88.


I appreciate your response.  Thank you for previous troubleshooting steps to resolve the streaming issue.  If you have tried other browsers, and still experiencing the same error message; please try the following steps, if you are using Windows and Internet Explorer:


  • Uninstall the Cisco Video Player from the Windows Control Panel;
  • Delete Temporary Internet files and Cookies;
  • Reboot your computer;
  • Go back to our streaming page in your browser;
  • Click Watch DIRECTV and Install DIRECT Player (Cisco Video Player) when prompted;
  • Press Ctrl-F5 to refresh the webpage, but do not close the browser;
  • Try watching a program.

Thank you for reaching to the Community Forums.  I am sorry about the difficulties trying to stream DTV programming on your computer.  This is a convenient way to use your service, and I have some suggestions which may correct this issue.


Please confirm your browser, and computer meets the minimum requirements.  Make sure the Flash Player in enabled, and up to date.  I also recommend clearing the cache, and cookies.
