Closed Captioning Stopped Working

Is there a reason that the Closed Captioning would stop working. We use this all of the time and it stopped working. I have disconnected power and refreshed. The CC works with my Fire Stick. Directv Box connected with HDMI cable. Does that matter?

Using your remote on the receiver the CC has stopped working --press-Menu -Settings-reset receiver (press select) then Fill in the box with a ( -)DASH --Your receiver will reset and when the TV picture returns --your CC should also return

Thank you! That worked. I think that before when I reset I didn't go to accesibility. You have been incredibly helpful.
