Connectivity Fail Issue

Why can’t yall DirecTV tech and @ATTCares ever responds to the fix and make your app consistent... we have to figure out the fix for ourselves! I have left tons of messages and read messages with the same issues! Fix this issue... Make your app work consistently and we use the app when we travel to watch the DVR recording without needing to download it... what’s the purpose of having an app and watching it on the home network... might as well watch my shows on My own room and TV, but a lot are traveling for business and watching their shows on iPad at the hotels

 

fix this ASAP!

DirecTV has announced that out-of-home streaming from your Genie DVR will no longer be supported after March 2019.  It's a feature that they never could get working properly, so seems they're giving up trying.  You'll need to download recordings to view them out-of-home.
