Correct mp3 format for Media Share

Can someone tell what is the correct mp3 format (bitrate, sample & size rates) that the Media Share accept? I am using the AVS4You Audio Converter 6.2, this is also on my XP laptop.
I have formatted several mp3 and attempted to played them after about 3 minute there is no sound, which I think indicates that I have the wrong format. I going through the XP laptop backup of My World Book Edition device via the "public - share music folders".
The WMP11 and TVersity has no problems playing these mp3's, should I attempt to use these to play the mp3 via the Media Share and not use the My World Book Edition device?
I hope you have some answers.

Currently, I do not have any problems with videos, using the My World Book Edition video folder.

if still facing issue you must try youtube to mp3 for testing as it converting with best encoded so you not face issue again.
