DIRECTV App for iPhone quit working

Starting last week 10/25/2021 I have not been able to watch live TV or Recorded on the App. I can only watch ESPN for some reason. All Other channels state This content cannot be played at this time. 

Reinstalled and no change

So I decided to turn off and restart the phone. Wow it started working again.

Hello @roydavidlambert, we're here to help you.

 

Let's make sure your device is still registered on the App. If it isn't, follow these steps to do so:

 

1. Open the DIRECTV App on your device.

2. Select Watch on phone/tablet (or applicable device).

3. Select Watch your DVR.

4. Choose the My downloads tab.

5. On the registration page, select Get Started and follow the prompts.

 

Tip: If you have trouble registering your device, confirm access to external devices on your receiver. Go to settings>Whole home > External Device External Access > Allow.

I did register the app and dvr and still no live tv Except ESPN. 

I could watch a recorded show while on same network as DVR but not on another Wi-Fi network or cellular. 
This is strange because it had worked for years now stopped.
