Many of the shows I record in my library will not play on my iPad saying “DVR Only”. This is while using the new ipad app. Any way to change this? Thanks!

You’ll need to continue using the older ‘DIRECTV on the Go’ app until bugs in the newer app are fixed.

Mistake on my part. Yes, the old tablet app is called ‘DIRECTV for iPad.’ The old phone app is called ‘DIRECTV on the Go.’

Thanks, but I won’t go back to the old app. It was practically worthless for me. The new one is significantly better but not perfect obviously. I’ll wait for the bugs to get worked out but thanks for your response!

No error code.
”Unavailable on this device. We couldn’t play this recording because there is no On Demand option. It is available on your home DVR.”

Thanks @Duffer43 for sharing this information about the error code on your iPad.
We suggest you to play your recordings in a different mobile device to make sure if the problem is with the iPad app or the recording itself.
Also, we can try uninstalling and installing the app again. Please, let us know the results. We'll be here for you.

I neglected to get back to the forum. Yes, I deleted the app and reloaded it. Same results on my phone and other iPad (I have two). Some recorded programs are watchable on iPad and others not. Doesn't seem to matter which network as some are viewable while others are not on the same network. I'm done fighting it and will make do with what I've got which is much better than the old app.

The old app is now saying that it is going away soon and the new app still has this same bug. What’s the solution and when is it coming?
