Broadcast/streaming of Directv service is not allowed outside of the United States.
However you can use the MobileDVR feature, available on the 2nd and 3rd generation Genie (HR44, HR54) or the new Genie-2 (HS17, not recommended) to temporarily copy some recordings to your mobile device before you leave home.

Only recordings that you have downloaded from your Genie DVR to your iOS device. DirecTV is not allowed to stream any live channels outside of the US.
