Directv not installing on Samsung

I'm not able to watch live tv on my new Samsung Pro chromebook. The direct tv player won't install in the browser and the app in the playstore is only for the phone, no option for tablet or chromebook. Very disappointed.

Is AT&T or Direct TV working on this?

We appreciate you reaching out to Community and Forums. We would never want anything to keep you from enjoying your favorite shows and programs on the DIRECTV APP.  I would like to help take a closer look into why this isn’t working for you and find a resolution to this dilemma.

From the information you have provided, the “Google Play Store” came preinstalled with your Samsung Pro Chromebook. The next step in to make sure your Chromebook is running the latest Chrome OS version. You’ll need Chrome OS version 53 or later. Check by tapping or clicking on the status area, tap or click the Settings cog, then select “About Chrome OS” at the top of the screen. In the “About” window, tap or click the “Check for and apply updates” button. If there’s an available update, it will download and install. . Once it’s finished, tap or click the “Restart to update” button.
