Do you have to stay in the app for shows to continue to download?

Do you have to stay in the app for shows to continue to download? I have 15 shows in my queue that are preparing to download. If I go out of the app to use another (i.e., read on my kindle app) the downloads seem to stop.   So do you have to stay active in the app for them to download?

Hi @srwiltshire!

We'd love to help you here! What type of device are you using? On iOS devices like iPhone, iPad, the DIRECTV app must be opened to continue downloading each show. So you have to stay active in the app for your shows to download.

Every time I try to download in app, it always stays in queue. It will not download. Please help

Try resetting your Genie DVR using the red button near the access card. If that doesn't help, try deleting and reinstalling the app.
