Guide setting

I have my guide set for channels I get yet I find dozens of channels listed on the guide I don't get. It's really upsetting to see something we might want to watch only to see we don't get that channel. Please don't tell me to up grade my subscription so we get those channel we are on a fixed income and can't afford to upgrade.
