Having issue with idp.dtvce.com Authentication for Directv

Anyone else having this issue?

 

I'm trying to authenticate a channel on my Roku. I get to the page where I select my TV Service Provider and Select Directv. Once it leaves it redirects you to idp.dtvce.com as the authentication.
When I login with my CORRECT AT&T Access code and Password, it keeps saying -  "You'll now manage your service with an AT&T Access ID. Click here to finish setting up your new Access ID, then come back and log in with that ID and password."

Anyone else having this issue? It's been happening for over a week. Weirdly, the channels on my Roku where I'm already signed in are fine and I haven't had to re-sign in to them. It's signing in with new channels that is having the issues.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!  I've spoken to Tech at Directv and Roku. Spoken to over 10 people at Directv and none of them know anything when it comes to this. They don't even know what an Roku is for the most part!

Still Nothing. I don't think AT&T/Directv really care that much to try to fix issues when they are not simple.

THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR OVER 2 WEEKS!!!!

I just get passed back and forth from AT&T to Directv. Nobody has a clue how to fix the issue. 

This issue effects simply trying to sign into a channel's webpage too. 

So, if I want to watch something on TNT and decide to watch it on their page you have to put select your TV provider then put in your credentials. SAME ISSUE!!! Keeps saying I need to set up a AT&T Access ID even though I already have and have been using the correct login credentials.

 

I guess AT&T doesn't really care to keep customers as I haven't been offered anything for compensation and they can't fix the issue. They have a few more days then I'm going to Verizon and DISH.   If I can't watch what I want when I want, what's the point?

Here’s what worked for me: I chatted with an AT&T rep via online chat. He figured out that my directv access ID was not the same as my AT&T ID (2 entirely different email addresses). Once he combined them, we reset the password and my access ID now works for everything. Maybe you have a similar problem?

Directv and AT&T are separate services, as such separate accounts and logins by default. Since the acquisition of Directv, AT&T has been unifying the logins for those who have both services. Has not been a smooth process.

 

Go to @ATTDIRECTVCare and send them a private message regarding the issue. As mentioned above, they will probably have to reset both so that the logins are synced up.

I'm having a similar issue. My posts are being answered but only with the stock "script" tjhey have to follow. So no help at all. i'm just about ready to pull the ATT plug. Good luck!

Hello @dianad1515,


If the password reset for your account was not successful, we recommend setting up your AT&T Access ID. This will be your new sign in creditials for all of your services, not just your DirecTV account.

We're doing our best to help you get the app added to your Roku. Have you tried using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox? We have seen this type of issue with other browsers in the past and have seen successes with those two browsers.

I'm having this same problem. It's a nightmare. Syncing my passwords and making my email address my att and access id didn't make a difference. Why?! I've spent hours on the phone with several different techs. I can't authenticate apps like showtime anytime hbo go or starz. It keeps redirecting me to that idp login using my att credentials and this is so impossible. Something must be broken somewhere, but the real question is do they care, do they have a temporary solution, and will they eventually fix this?

I have been experiencing the exact same thing for the past couple of months and it has gotten to be that I see that little key icon to have to yet again, sign in, I panic!! I resolved it myself a few times after having wasted a good week all together in phone time with both DTV as well as ROKU to no avail!

The way I thought had solved the issue all together was to clear my cookies and browsing history and then disable/remove any and all extensions from my Chrome browser.

 

But, here I am, back here complaining and as frustrated as I can be! It isn't working now! (my method, that is) There is one extension that I use to store my PW's for mostly all the accounts I have online (that is literally thousands...) but I know that I always left it enabled bc it filled my info in on DTV for me so that shouldn't be the problem. I think I will go back and just remove all the extensions I have for now and if that works, I will come bk here to lyk! 

Good luck my friend, don't give up, ok. And be sure to update us in case were still having issues and you come up with an idea or a solution, ok! Plz don't leave me hangin'!!

I have been b**ch*** about AT&T for yeeeeeears now and it is almost as if I am the newcomer in the Stepford Wives Hood or something...like I am the only one throwing a fit as well as my arms out in the air as I squinch up my eyebrows like I am in physical pain bc NO ONE ELSE seems to notice or give a crap that they s**k! They overcharge and underpay & when it comes to push & shove, they are doing both, to us AND the "man" as well as corporations that cannot refuse their biddings, whether they want to or not bc if they do...too effin bad, the man steps in and says, "do it or else!".

 

People should probably wake up and see the power and wealth that AT&T holds as a bad, bad thing and frankly, to me, it is scary too!

I've seen what couples well with those two traits or attributes and it isn't positive in any way!

It chaps my butt that I am not in control of the bill where I live but I am very close to talking my whole family into dumping these companies for good! Sumn's gotta give!!

It is now December 6, 2018, and you guessed it! I am having the same issue. I merged my account, created a new access ID. I have spent HOURS and I mean HOURS on the phone with these clowns. All phone conversations recorded as well. Perhaps if I publish the 2 hour long phone calls, it would attract some attention...maybe but doubtful. 

 

I have brought my laptop to the store and the reps there were stumped!

 

This last phone call with ATT said it is not their fault. I need to call EACH channel and tell them that there is a glitch on their system.

 

No, ATT, ....when you google idp.dtvce.com.....it leads me to YOUR site! Your site idp.dtvce.com has a glitch. The channels are simply LINKING to YOUR SITE!
