You may need to attach an off-air antenna to your TV's ANTENNA INPUT to receive your local stations.

Hello and good morning @Codycat1.
Thanks for joining the Community Forums. I have an option to watch local channels, until you pay your bill and restore service. You can use Over-The-Air (OTA) antenna to watch broadcast television in your area.
Please refer to the manufacture of the television how to enable this feature. I hope this helps you out. I wish you the best, and have a great day!

your tv should have a built in tuner
get the tv remote
change inputs until you come to the tuner
consult the tv manual for any questions

You cannot watch locals through DirecTV if your service is interrupted. Use the traditional TV tuner with antenna (rabbit ears) to get locals like normal.
